KidVid: Awesome Adventures Volume 1: Rescue Friends with Bob, Thomas, and Fireman Sam

Kids who enjoy action are certain to like Awesome Adventures Volume 1: Rescue Friends, a new DVD starring preschool favorites Thomas the Tank Engine, Fireman Sam, and Bob the Builder. Each of the beloved characters is featured in two episodes supporting friendship, cooperation, teamwork, problem solving, and social skills. The new DVD is scheduled to be released March 13, 2012.
Scratch finds he doesn’t really like working alone, gets himself in a sticky situation, and must rely on Bob the Builder to rescue him in “Scratch Goes Solo.” Dizzy makes a big mistake when she tries to prove how fast she can work, but it somehow turns into a wonderful success in “Whizzy Dizzy.”
Fireman Sam may think he needs a little time off to do chores but finds that he can never really be “Off Duty Sam” when things are popping at Dilys’ shop. James, who wants to be a fireman,  learns that it might be a whole lot better if he left the rescues to the professionals in “Fireman James” when he gets trapped by a fire.

Things are far from quiet on the Isle of Sodor when Percy is in distress and Spencer, who had gotten lost in the fog because he thought he was too good for the Tidmouth Sheds, braves a frightening fog to save Percy in the Thomas & Friends episode “Spencer the Grand.”  Toby’s bell is in sad shape, but there are no spares, so he gets a very loud whistle, which scares him in “Toby’s New Whistle.” Toby learns to overcome his anxiety when Gordon could suffer if Toby doesn’t sound his whistle.
Working together is the emphasis of all six adventures, as characters learn that things are a lot easier when they have friends to help them.
